Sloyd

Sloyd Product Information
What is Sloyd – Generate 3D. Fast.?
Sloyd is a 3D modeling tool that makes it easy to create 3D assets. Users can select a generator, customize it using sliders and toggles, and quickly generate 3D models. The library of generators is continuously expanding, providing endless inspiration and options for creating unique assets. The generated models are UV-unwrapped, optimized for real-time use, and ready for texturing.
How to use Sloyd – Generate 3D. Fast.?
To use Sloyd, simply select a generator from the library. Customize the model using unique sliders and toggles to match your desired style or hit the randomize button to experiment with different variations. Once you’re satisfied with the model, you can export it for further use. Sloyd can be accessed through the webapp or SDK, allowing for seamless integration into your workflow.
Can I create anything using text prompts?
Not yet! Sloyd is based on archetype generators that can create variations of specific objects. However, text prompts feature is planned for future implementation.
Is Sloyd based on generative Machine Learning?
Sloyd’s 3D asset generation is not purely based on generative Machine Learning. ML is used in combination with parametric generators to create optimized assets in real-time. The focus is on game-ready results with great topology and optimization.
How does Sloyd work?
Sloyd uses a parametric engine capable of generating millions of assets in real-time. This enables the creation of fully unique assets in games and provides a responsive web editor for easy customization. The assets are optimized and can be used immediately in real-time applications.
Can I generate human models?
Currently, Sloyd focuses on props, weapons, collectibles, and architectural assets. Human models are not available at the moment.
Where do the generators come from?
The generators are created by the Sloyd community and the team of 3D artists. They are built using the Sloyd Maker tool, which allows for the creation of reusable parts. This ensures a wide variety of variations and unique results.
How can I contribute to Sloyd?
Sloyd plans to have an open alpha for the Sloyd Maker tool in late 2023. If you are interested in contributing, you can reach out via email or join the Discord community for further updates.
